After going to the duck pond and taking portraits I learned that you should not take pictures in direct sunlight because it is not flattering. My partner and I tried using a reflector but there was no sun in the sky so we were not able to reflect any light onto Zide's face. To retouch the photographs I made his skin look smoother and more even.

1.My partner brought an omelet from home and was kind enough to let me take pictures it. Some props that we used to make the photos more special was a gold reflector.
2. From the videos about food photography we saw in class I learned about how when taking photos of food all the ingredients have to be fresh, and the way you assemble the food is important to make it look appealing. 3. To make the photography look similar to the professional photos we used a gold reflector. 4. Three things I learned from this project was how to properly use a reflector and how the colors of the reflector gives the picture a different hue. I also learned 5. Careers that involve food photography are Food Bloggers, Restaurant owners, Magazine ads, Commercial workers. 6. I did enjoy doing this project but i don't think that I would do it again because I get too hungry while looking at the food and I am not patient enough to wait to finish a photo to eat it. In the future I see myself involved in music. That's why i chose a radio DJ as my dream career and also why I chose the talented, handsome, amazing singer, Harry styles, to be in my celebrity photo(he is also my husband to be). For both of these pictures i had to outline my face with the lasso tool and put my face on the person i was becoming. For both pictures I was too pale so i had to use the color changing tool to give me the same skin tone as the people i was putting my face over.

BalanceThis is a picture of a flower on a bush i found and i chose for this to be my example of balance because the two little flowers look PERFECTLY SYMMETRICAL ProportionRhythmEmphasisHarmonyVarietyUnityLine ISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350 This is a photo of the track in rancho's stadium and i chose for this to be an example for the element of line because the beginning line is the first thing that the viewer looks at in the photo. This photo is successful because the Color ISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350 This is a photo of part of the parking lot at rancho buena vista and i chose it to the example for color because it involves 3 different colors in one area. I think this is a successful picture because the colors that are involved in it are complementary and 2/3 of the colors are warm colors that draw attention. ISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350 This is a picture of a sewer hole on the side of the rancho buena vista fire lane and i chose it to be the example of the element of shape because out of all of the nature involved with the sidewalk this was the only geometric shape in that area. I believe this is a successful photo because there is a perfect amount of negative space around the circle that makes the sewer hole the only focus point. FormISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350 This is a picture of the RBV hallway and I chose the hallway to be my example for the element of form because from the angle the viewer can see how tall the building goes and how far out it stretches. I believe that this is a successful photo because It shows the height, width and depth of the picture. TextureISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350 This is a picture of grass with dewdrops on it and i chose this as an example for the element of texture because with the focus on each blade of grass makes it look as if you are able to touch it. I believe this is a successful picture because of the way the camera captured the water on the grass adding even more texture to the picture. SpaceISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350 This is a picture of a pair of shoes in the middle of the blacktop outside of Rancho's weight room and I chose this picture to be an example of space because all of the negative space is so plain and empty that the only thing to focus on is the pair of shoes. I believe this is a successful picture because it involves so much negative space. ValueISO: 400 Aperture: f/8 shutter speed: 1/350
This is a picture of my photography partner's hand and i chose for this to be my example of value because the shadows on the hand makes it look 3 dimensional. I believe this is a successful picture because the it has the lightest light in the middle of the hand and the darkest dark in the shadows. LinePhotographer: Alfred Stieglitz Date: 1921 Website: Metmuseum.org This photo is of a woman's neck and I chose this photo as an example for line element because the defined structure of the woman's throat creates a perfect line that divides a line diagonally through the picture. ColorPhotographer: Sandy Skoglund Date: 2003 Website: Artnet.com This photo is of people having a picnic in a field of glasses of red wine and I chose this picture to be an example of the color element because the colors are so vibrant and they are complimentary colors so the colors fit perfectly together in photo. ShapePhotographer: Laszlo Moholy Date: 1926 Website: Moma.org I chose this picture as an example of shape because the main focus in the picture is the white square object. This is a good example because right when you look at the picture your eyes immediately see the white square. FormPhotographer: Ansel Adams Date: 1942 Website: Arty.net This is a photo of a river leading up to a mountain and I chose this photo for the element of form because it is able to be seen just how far away the mountain is and how long the river goes for. We are also able to see how the mountain would be bigger if it wasn't so far away. SpacePhotography: Josef Koudelka Date: 1958 Website: Magnumphotos.com This is a photo of two cows pulling a cart on an empty road and i though this photo is a good example of the space element because there is so much open space you can really tell what the positive space is, which would be the cows, and the negative space would be the flat, open land. BalancePhotographer: Diane Arbus Date: 1959 Website: Nymag.com This is a photo of two identical twin girls standing side by side and I chose this example for the element of balance because it looks as it the is a mirror between the two twins that are reflecting them making it look completely symmetrical RhythmPhotographer: Robert Capa Date: 1938 Website: MagnumPhotos.com This is a photo of a group of children getting trained to be in some sort of army and i chose this photo for the element of rhythm because it involves a kind of repitition in how the children are lined up and standing the same way. EmphasisPhotographer: Steve McCurry Date: 1996 Website: Magnumphotos.com This is a picture of a little boy covered in what looks like red paint and i chose this picture for the element of emphasis because the vibrant color of the little boy's skin causes the observer to only focus on that. HarmonyPhotographer: Joel Meyerowitz Date: 1976 Website: Howardgreenberg.com This photo is of a diner during sunset and i chose this photo as an example for the element of harmony because the colors of the sky incorporated with the colors of the diner walls and lights make the overall picture pleasing to the eye. VarietyPhotographer: William Wegman Date: 2005 Website: Panopticongallery.com This is a picture of a puppy dressed in a grown mans shirt and i chose this to be an example for the element of variety because the originality of the picture UnityPhotographer: Mary Ellen Mark Date: 1978 Website: Anothermag.com
This is a photo of an "apartment building" where the civilians are living and i chose this picture as an example of the element of unity because the whole picture involves the color blue and it pulls everything together to look complete. This picture represents how you should always keep in mind to respect yourself and others because the two hands are signing the word respect in sign language. The red ribbon is supposed to represent how you should always have respect.
